Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why outsource my accounting department?

You will receive much more value for the service than from in-house employees.  Those employees will work 40+ hour weeks and you’ll have to pay them for it, whereas with an outsourced accountant, you’re paying for a sharp mind to take care of your needs in the most efficient and effective way possible.  You’ll be working with a team of professionals that desires to see your needs met, not individuals who are looking to do the bare minimum to collect a paycheck.

I like having an accountant here in person, why should I use a virtual accountant?

Savings on time, money and hassle.  The time savings comes in not having to always check in with your team day in and day out to ensure their jobs are getting done, rather you have a professional who is motivated to do a quality job as quickly as possible.  The money savings is HUGE! The average, entry level accountant can cost an organization between $40-60k annually…and that’s before payroll taxes and benefits! With a virtual accountant, your annual cost is likely to be 50% (or more) less than that! Finally, think of the headaches you’d save yourself concerning the administration of an employee (payroll taxes, benefits, etc.), the office politics, the office space, etc.  Sounds like a pretty good deal, huh?

I’d rather pay by the hour, why do you charge a fixed fee?

This saves you money and provides you with your deliverables sooner. With a fixed fee, we consider the amount of time it will take us to complete a project and quote accordingly. Sometimes the estimated time is spot on and sometimes its not, but the gist of it is that you pay one fee, regardless of how long it takes us. With the hourly system, there is less of an incentive to get the project done quickly as the longer it takes us, the more money we would make. We believe that the fixed fee system will get you quality results sooner and is a fair deal to for all.

Why should I use you for my taxes vs the big, name brand tax preparers (HR Block, TurboTax, etc.)?

You will be working with a professional who treats you as much more than another number. Those guys are good, but they’re driven to get as many people through as possible and aren’t incentivized to really dig into your situation. When working with professionals whose primary focus is you, we’ll take the time to learn about your situation and dig into every nook and cranny to minimize your taxes as much as legally possible. We desire that you leave every interaction with us feeling like you’re working with someone who gets you and wants the best for you, over anything else!
